When do Silver Kidz Camps run?

Where is Silver Kidz Camps based
We are currently based at Roding Valley High School, Loughton. More venues to open soon.
What group does my child fit in to?
Our explorers are 5-7 years old, 8-10 years old is navigators and voyagers are 10-12 years old. Unfortunately we don’t currently take children younger than 5 years old.
Do I have to book for the whole week?
Not at all! You can book for however many days as you like, and you can choose the specific days that your child attends.
Can I use childcare vouchers to pay?

How long are the days?
You can drop your child from 8.30am and pick them again from 5pm.
Do you have extended hours?
Yes we do! You can drop your child off to breakfast club from 8am and pick them up until 6pm. Early drop-off and early pick up are £4 each per day.
When is my child's place confirmed?
Your child’s place is confirmed once we receive full payment. You will receive an email with a booking reference.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
You are able to cancel 15+ days prior to the start of camp and receive a full refund. If you cancel 14 days before then you lose 100% of the payment.
What if my child wants to change days?
If once the timetable is confirmed your child wants to change days please contact us as soon as possible. If there are spaces available we will try to accommodate requests but will be treated on a “first come, first serve” basis.
What if my child doesn't like the activities?
Although we encourage children to get involved in the different activities throughout the day, they will not be forced to do anything that they don’t enjoy. We will look to find something else your child will enjoy and get involved in.
How will I know what my child will be doing?
We endeavour to confirm the timetable 1 week before the start of camp. However it is always subject to change.
What should my child wear?
Your child should wear comforting clothing due to the different activities they will be taking part in. It is also important to dress your child appropriately for the weather for outdoor activities and bring a change of clothing. You can always speak to our staff for advice.
What does my child need for the day?
All your child needs is a packed lunch and be ready to have lots of fun!
Is there food and drink for my child?
We provide water and squash throughout the day as well as morning and afternoon snacks such as fruit and cereal bars. Please let our staff know about any dietary needs and allergies.
Will my child need money?
No, your child will not need to bring any money with them.
My child requires medication, who should I tell?
Please ensure that you tell us of your child’s needs when you register their place. If you have already registered your child, please email us with your name, your child’s name and their requirements.
Will I get feedback on my child?
There will be a daily newsletter letting you know what has been going on at the camp. Also feel free to speak to our staff about what your child has been up to throughout the day.
What if my child has an accident?
We have an accident reporting system that immediately notifies you via email if anything was to happen. All our staff are first aid trained and you can read more about our systems on our Policies and Procedures page.
How are Silver Kidz Camps staff employed?
Staff go through rigorous interviews, training and background checks. All our staff are first-aid and safeguarding trained. In addition, all of our staff have valid DBS checks.
Can I meet the staff before the camp?
Yes, our open evenings are a great chance to meet the staff that will be running our camps. Also have a look at some of the activities.
Do your staff have experience with children with different abilities?
We aim to be as inclusive as possible and our staff are trained to work with all ages and all abilities. If your child has specific needs please let our staff know so that they can enjoy the camp as much as possible. If you have any further questions please contact the office.
